About Ripley County Humane Society

Ripley County Humane Society is a private, nonprofit 501(c)(3) no kill animal organization. We are funded through donations, adoption fees, grants, and memorial gifts, and we rely on the compassion of our community to keep our doors open.

Our mission

We are dedicated to providing a clean, safe, and nurturing environment for stray, abused, injured, and unwanted dogs and cats. Every animal in our care receives high-quality attention and love while we work to find them a permanent home, no matter how long it takes.

A team that cares

Our staff and volunteers are united by one mission: to ensure the well-being of every animal that comes through our doors. Each team member brings kindness, dedication, and heart to the work we do every day. We treat every dog and cat as an individual, giving them the care, patience, and attention they need to heal and thrive. Whether it’s feeding, walking, cleaning, or simply offering a gentle touch, our team is here to make sure every pet feels safe and loved until they find their forever home.

How you can help

You don’t have to adopt to make a difference. There are many meaningful ways to support the animals at our shelter, from donating supplies and funds to volunteering your time or hosting a fundraiser. Every act of kindness helps us care for pets in need and bring them closer to a loving home.
